Local Browser Architecture

About NexoPixel

NexoPixel is a browser-based image utility built to make everyday image resizing, compression, and format conversion fast, predictable, and private.

What NexoPixel Does

Preparing images for websites, online application portals, email attachments, and social media often requires exact pixel dimensions, specific file formats, or strict kilobyte limits. Traditional desktop graphics suites can be heavy for quick adjustments, while many online converters require uploading personal or business files to remote cloud servers.

NexoPixel solves this by executing image decoding, geometric scaling, quality optimization, and format transcoding directly inside your web browser using standard HTML5 Canvas and Web Worker APIs.

Privacy-First Local Processing Philosophy

For NexoPixel's current browser-based image tools, processing happens locally on your device. When you select or drop an image into the workspace, the file is read into local browser memory, transformed on your device's hardware, and exported directly back to your computer or phone.

Your source photos and exported results are not uploaded to NexoPixel servers. This makes NexoPixel well suited for sensitive documents, identity photographs, unreleased product designs, and personal photography.

Supported Formats

Supports reading and exporting JPEG / JPG, PNG, and WebP with configurable background fill when converting transparent PNG or WebP graphics to JPG.

Target Size & Presets

Includes iterative target-file-size optimization (such as 100 KB and 200 KB) alongside common social media dimension presets for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Batch Workflow

Process up to 20 images at a time with bounded concurrency and download all processed results together in a standard ZIP archive.

Who NexoPixel Is Built For

NexoPixel is designed for anyone who needs clean, dependable image preparation without installing desktop software or creating an account:

  • Students & Applicants: Formatting portrait photos, signatures, and documents to meet strict 100 KB or 200 KB portal upload caps.
  • Web Developers & Bloggers: Converting bulky PNGs and JPEGs into lightweight WebP assets for faster page loads.
  • Creators & Marketers: Preparing images for Instagram posts and Stories, YouTube thumbnails, Facebook updates, and LinkedIn graphics.
